Stuart Reid

Executive Director

Stuart Reid has over 30 years of experience as a senior manager in the not-for-profit sector. He joined Community Foundation Grey Bruce as Executive Director in 2016 after serving for over four years at Brock University in St. Catharines as director of Rodman Hall Art Centre. He has also served as Executive Director of the Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina, Saskatchewan, and was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Regina, from 2009 to 2012. From 2001 to 2009, he was Director/Curator of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound. An active community volunteer, he a member of the Board of the Canadian Crafts Federation, a recently retired board member of Craft Ontario, and is a former president of the Ontario Association of Art Galleries. Reid is a graduate of York University in Toronto. He also completed the J. Paul Getty Trust’s Museum Leadership Institute training at the University of California at Berkeley in 2002. An award-winning writer, Reid has a long list of essays and exhibition catalogues of which he is the author. Stuart is a registered yoga teacher, loves living in beautiful Annan ON, and enjoys hiking on the Bruce Trail with his miniature schnauzer companion, "Poppy".

Kate Baker

Kate was hired at the Foundation shortly after she graduated with a Business diploma from Georgian College in Owen Sound in 2013.
With her natural knack for numbers, Kate ensures all aspects of the Foundation's financial requirements are carefully and properly handled.

Ryan Deska

Strategic Initiatives Consultant on Housing

Ryan has built a wealth of experience working for Provincial and municipal government and not for profit organizations, exploring asset-based community development in smaller rural communities. His experience working in community economic development and rural policy has informed his understanding of affordable housing needs throughout Grey Bruce, and the outcomes communities are looking to accomplish. Most recently, Ryan has been directly involved in the development of affordable housing, coordinating all aspects of new housing developments, including: development of pro-forma’s and project feasibility reviews, overseeing planning applications, leading funding applications, coordinating government relations efforts, and structuring the management and development team. Ryan lives in Bruce County with his partner and their 1 year old daughter.

Annalise van Oord

Administration & Communications Coordinator

Annalise has extensive administration, customer service, and event planning experience. She is passionate about community involvement, volunteerism, and human flourishing. Annalise is excited to make a positive difference in her hometown of Owen Sound through her role with Community Foundation Grey Bruce.
