Are You Ready to Join the Community Foundation Grey Bruce
Board of Directors?

Community Foundation Grey Bruce (CFGB) is looking for passionate members of our communities to become involved in our Board of Directors. CFGB aims to represent the entire region of Grey Bruce, encompassing local municipalities and First Nations.

Ways to know that you are ready to serve:

  • You have an understanding of our communities and the shared local histories
  • You know your skills, values, and goals as they relate to our community and region
  • You have the ability to think about issues beyond your individual community
  • You enjoy putting your values into practice, such as trust and confidence
  • You like to work as a team, through community service, or serving on committees or boards
  • You like to think about the big picture, and make connections between the needs of today, and the unknown of tomorrow
  • You have the time and energy to make the commitment and see it through
  • You have an interest to take an active role in advancing CFGB’s mission and impact as an Ambassador

Time Commitment for Board Members

  • Serve 3 year terms, with an option to renew for an additional term
  • Board meetings occur monthly for approximately 2 hours, in person and virtual options
  • Required involvement in committees that meet monthly outside of the board meeting, which requires a minimum of 6 hours per month for meetings and preparation
  • Minimum total of 8 hours per month required
  • CFGB hosts as many as three special events a year of between one and three hours duration

Candidates interested in any of these fields, with professional or volunteer experience, and/or knowledge of philanthropy, finance and investment, community granting, community health and statistics, fund development or donor stewardship, are encouraged to apply.
