Join the Non-Profit Workshop!
Join Community Foundation Grey Bruce at our Non-Profit Workshop! Our popular networking and information workshop is now back in person! Join us for a day of learning and sharing at the Non-Profit Workshop being held on Wednesday, March 15 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at Sydenham Campus in Owen Sound (lunch will be provided).
Subjects at the workshop will include:
- Using Social Media (and liking it!): Heather Travis will be joining our Non-Profit Workshop to share how local non-profits can use social media and market their organizations effectively (and like it)! Heather is a is a communications strategist, brand builder, and lover of all things creative.
- What’s New and Noteworthy in Charity Regulations with BDO and Middlebro’ Stevens: Vicky Watson, BDO, and Nicholas Lovell, Middlebro’ & Stevens LLP, will be sharing an update on Charity Regulations for 2023, including donation receipting, audit requirements and more.
- Building and Creating an Engaged Board of Directors: A panel discussion with three local experts will explore ways to create and build a Board of Directors. The panel will include Stephen Musehl, Executive Director of Home and Community Support Services, Tracy Primeau, Women in Nuclear Canada Board, and Kim West-Briggs, Community Foundation Grey Bruce.
- Two Minutes at the Mic: An opportunity for local organization to introduce themselves and tell us what they are planning in 2023 (in under 2 minutes)
Registration will begin at 8:30 am and participants are encouraged to bring a recyclable water bottle or coffee mugs to the event.
2023 Non-Profit Workshop Outcomes
The day was full of networking and information sharing! Community Foundation Grey Bruce hosted the non-profit workshop that was attended by approximately 70 participants from local non-profit organizations from Kincardine to Thornbury, Wiarton to Flesherton Some of the outcomes from the 2023 Non-Profit Workshop are now available.
