Community Foundation Grey Bruce responds to COVID-19 pandemic
Community Foundation Grey Bruce announces that the deadline for submission of community grant applications has been moved from April 15 to June 15, 2020. This extension gives local charities and non-profits more time to prepare their applications while dealing with the COVOD-19 pandemic that has prompted closure of all non-essential business in Ontario.
Community Foundation Grey Bruce enriches the quality of life for people of the area through its grants to projects initiated by not-for-profit and charitable organizations addressing living standards, health & wellness, education & life long learning, arts & culture, children’s issues, sports & recreation, the natural environment and community connectedness. Grants are generated from the interest earned in the preceding year by the Foundation’s endowed funds.
The office of Community Foundation Grey Bruce is presently closed to the public however operations continue with staff working remotely. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Foundation to discuss their project prior to completing their grant application. Due to concerns regarding public gatherings during the COVID-19 crisis, Community Foundation Grey Bruce also announces the cancellation of its 25th Anniversary Celebration Dinner previously scheduled for April 18, 2020, at Cobble Beach Waterfront Golf Resort Community, Kemble.
