We're pleased to introduce Sonya Mount as Foundation Accountant.
Sonya is a Chartered Insolvency Practitioner (CIRP), Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA). Since moving to Meaford in 1991 and starting a business with her husband based in Owen Sound, she's been providing insolvency and restructuring services to individuals and businesses and consulted on risk management and organizational change.
Sonya's been active within her professional organization as a volunteer for the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals, the Financial Planning Standards Council, INSOL International and the World Bank.
Locally, she assumed leadership roles with the Owen Sound Regional Health Centre Foundation Board of Directors and the fundraising committee and strategic planning committees for the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre. She's volunteered in various capacities with Alzheimer’s Society Grey Bruce, Meaford Economic Development Advisory Council, Bruce Ski Club, Owen Sound Aquatic Club and Highlands Nordic.
“I am excited to be working with the excellent staff and volunteers of the Community Foundation Grey Bruce as they continue to develop their ability to provide long term sustainable benefits to so many in our area.”
Sonya can often be found either at the “Y” or outdoors enjoying the many activities that make our area special.
