2012 AGM & Granting Reception2012 AGM & Granting Reception held on June 12th
Guests at the AGM & Granting Reception enjoyed a delicious meal at the Chippewa Golf Club, Southampton, Ontario.
Guest speaker, Terry Jackson, Chair of Community Foundations of Canada, shown with Roberta Brignell, Executive Director of Community Foundation Grey Bruce. Mr. Jackson spoke on the Smart & Caring Community initiative and challenged all present to be come part of the movement.
Summer student, Connor MacLeod Farley, gave a presentation on True Sport, a Canada wide project that promotes positive participation in all levels of sports.
Marilyn Rosner told about the Saugeen Valley Children's Safety Village which is under construction near Hanover. When complete, this village will provide all levels of safety training for school children across Grey & Bruce. During the evening, grants were presented to charities across Grey & Bruce counties as represented by the smiling people shown above!
